Meta[Mod] They're talking about us again... and we don't care.... quick guidelines. (self.TheRedPill)
submitted 11 months ago by 2 Mredpillschool[M]
Hey folks, looks like we've been the topic of more and more discussion around reddit, and it's starting to happen multiple times a day. This is pretty funny, in my mind, since all people have to do is ignore we exist if they don't like us.
But people like drama. It feeds them. It makes them go.
Drama and gossip are the fodder of women and children.
The "look we're mentioned again" threads are no longer welcome, since it's basically a given at this point. Let's get back to business. Let the haters hate.
Mods will delete that annoying shit on sight.
A note on yesterday and reports-
Yesterday we were pretty heavily invaded. I deleted close to 50 or so submissions/comments. Unfortunately, no mod is able to view every thread always, so that's why you should make liberal usage of the report button. Anything look stupid/fishy/low quality? Click report. Thanks! That is all.
[–]insickness 137 points138 points139 points 11 months ago (20 children)
There are also a ton of random articles posted here about women doing evil shit that really has nothing to do with red pill, like this one: Teen Girls Accused of Torturing Boy, 16, With Intellectual Disability. Other than the most basic level in figuring out that women aren't angels, this has nothing to do with red pill.
[–]2 Mredpillschool[S] 93 points94 points95 points 11 months ago (14 children)
Luckily the community self polices that stuff. Had a score of zero.
[–]Lipophobicity 15 points16 points17 points 11 months ago (13 children)
People still use that sort of thing against this sub, I've seen a post at -150ish get quoted for how terrible this sub is. They are not looking for fairness
[–]2 Mredpillschool[S] 223 points224 points225 points 11 months ago (5 children)
I don't care what people do outside the sub.
[–]AVeryMadFish 26 points27 points28 points 11 months ago (2 children)

This subs reputation is already low as it can go and will never go up.
[–]Ahsinoei 70 points71 points72 points 11 months ago (4 children)
I'm a woman and I read this sub daily.
I appreciate all the good posts and it's actually given me some insight as to some of the things I can improve in myself. That's a good things.
Meh to the haters, ignore and enjoy the camaraderie in this sub.
All the best, gentlemen.
[–]SupALupRT 27 points28 points29 points 11 months ago (3 children)
Interesting. What are some examples of things you've had brought to your attention you wanna change?
[–]mossbergman 8 points9 points10 points 11 months ago (2 children)
Why down vote the guy? He is asking a legit question.
[–][deleted] 11 months ago (1 child)
[–]Psycho_Delic 5 points6 points7 points 11 months ago (0 children)
Naturally. As they haven't the balls to actually... You know... Speak.
I think they honestly believe downvotes mean something. As if I care about downvotes. I can tell one good fart joke on advice animals and erase every downvote I've ever had. That is, if I cared, but it's just an example of the sillyness of it all.
[–][deleted] 11 months ago (3 children)
[–]robotboy98 -1 points0 points1 point 10 months ago (0 children)
Yes. Because one case is able to generalise to an entire population. That retarded man represented all men and those two girl kids represented all women. All.
[–]pewpewing 80 points81 points82 points 11 months ago (23 children)
It's amazing how genuinely upset people are that TRP exists. I posted in a fitness related sub yesterday and someone randomly went through my post history to publicly call me out for "being a redpiller." Surprisingly he was downvoted into oblivion then deleted his comment in shame. Even those who dislike TRP can sense a creepy loser.
[–]MartialWay 85 points86 points87 points 11 months ago (3 children)
That's because it was r/fitness and people there take charge of their destiny and LIFT WEIGHTS to improve themselves instead of whining.

Man, I fucking love the occasional public outings of posting on this sub I get. When you're arguing with someone and they get to the point where they start going through your submission history trying to find something dumb you said five months ago to to share with the world, you've won the fight. Drop the mic and walk away.
[–]t21spectre 11 points12 points13 points 10 months ago (4 children)
Ad Hominem is usually the final attempt to win an argument when the person has nothing logical left to say.
[–]christiefrontdrive 3 points4 points5 points 10 months ago (3 children)
Today I finally learned what that fucking phrase means.
[–]Katoska 7 points8 points9 points 10 months ago (2 children)
From Latin it literally means "to man", it's an attack on character instead of a counter to your argument. Instead of saying, "That's not true because this evidence x, supported by study y disproves it", it is much easier to go and say "This man's a pig fucker! Downvote him in shame!"
[–]christiefrontdrive 4 points5 points6 points 10 months ago (1 child)
As a man who has fucked many a pig in his day I appreciate your explanation.
[–]FinalEquin0x 8 points9 points10 points 11 months ago (0 children)
Experimenting with frame and several months ago someone outed me on a different sub.
I asked him if he wanted a medal
[–]SneakyTouchy 9 points10 points11 points 11 months ago* (3 children)
I made a comment in an INTP sub about my integrity that included the words fat and feminist in the same sentence. After 3 hours, the comment had a score of 12. After 5 hours, it was -11. Another hour after that, I get a reply that says my comment has sparked a conversation over at thebluepill.
Someone took a snapshot of my comment and opened a topic just for me. I felt a strange honor in that. There were at least 30 bigots in there having their go at me. Stuff like, "Won't sacrifice integrity, subscribes to red pill." I didn't make a comment, deleted the one they referenced, and let them just sit in their own stew of self loathing. I felt so proud that I almost rubbed it out of me.
I then took a little time to go through their sidebar and it really all looks like it was written by a jealous fifth grader. No reference to studies, no massive assortment of texts, no intelligent discussion on anything, just a massive hamster fest.
TRP is such a great community and I have a ton of appreciation for the mods keeping things clean here.
[–]Psycho_Delic 3 points4 points5 points 11 months ago (2 children)
I've abandoned accounts because of being called out for being a red piller. And yeah, I love how when you dose the population with TRP theory it gets upvoted until someone brings up RP. Then it's all the sudden downvote brigaded. I've said it a million times, your petty downvotes mean nothing to me. I literally only use the fucking button when I'm arguing with someone, and they keep giving you that 1 downvote each comment. Then wont admit to it. So I just return the favor, and watch them go mental.
[–]indrid_cold -1 points0 points1 point 10 months ago (1 child)
I like to inform people obviously downvoting me that I did NOT downvote them. I do not downvote things just because I disagree with them , I only downvote comments that add nothing, are only drama, or just hijacking to a series of media references. I like to think I'm showing them their pettiness.
Why did you abandon the accounts? people put that much grief on you? how badly were you harassed?
[–]Psycho_Delic 0 points1 point2 points 10 months ago (0 children)
Very badly lol. But it's no biggie. I'm used to stalkers, both real and on the internet.
[–]dr_bloodmoney 8 points9 points10 points 11 months ago* (5 children)
You want creepy? Go to TBP and look at the users that post the most often. A majority of them only post there. Hell, sometimes I wonder if they are posting here just so they can link back to the post for a cir.clejerk.
Edit: Hook, line and sinker /u/dizzy_j. You are just the person I was thinking of. You are genuinely creepy as fuck.
[–]Torps 10 points11 points12 points 11 months ago (1 child)
TBP is just creepy. Why do they care so much about what the guys at TRP do? if TRP is lame, TBP is twice as lame.
[–]darklogic420 11 points12 points13 points 11 months ago (0 children)
SRS seriously has them beat. They have a rule to not actually discuss things, just "circlequeef"
[–]alfabro91 5 points6 points7 points 11 months ago (1 child)
Even on reddit women can't stop obsessing over the "bad boys" and "misfits".
[–]1veggie_girl 2 points3 points4 points 10 months ago (0 children)
And even on reddit they try to talk shit about successful women rather than stepping up their own game. Much like the whole #fatpride thing is actually just a subtle way to shame attractive women for setting the bar too high.
[–]1FloranHunter 0 points1 point2 points 10 months ago (0 children)
Likely they make TBP-only accounts to keep us from doxxing them. Projection, obviously.
[–]1veggie_girl 1 point2 points3 points 10 months ago (0 children)
I'm upset that TRP exists. Because our society shouldn't be so ducked up that a place like it is not only relevant, but also sorely needed. Unfortunate reality is we NEED TRP because men need help as they are constantly berated and demonized by feminism.
[–]FindMitch 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (0 children)
Had the same thing happen to me.
[–][deleted] 70 points71 points72 points 11 months ago (0 children)
I appreciate the work you guys are putting in to maintain the integrity of this place.
[–]Endorsed ContributorWe_Are_Legion 36 points37 points38 points 11 months ago (12 children)
I usually don't have a problem with people making legitimate points, even if they go against my views. But dear god, reddit's circlejerks about TRP are vapid and just silly to even pay attention to.
You can read two sentences into a top comment apparently given approval by thousands, and understand that this person has literally no idea what they're talking about. RP ideas in their head are a mish-mash of whatever they want it to mean.
Its like they're spending all this effort just creating a caricature of the target so that they can attack it. I try to keep an open mind. Fine, maybe someone will make relevant actual points about redpill in a few hundred comments. If they hate it so much, they must know some of it, right? Disappointingly, no.
Every "discussion" on askreddit, or CMV or whatever I've read I've exited having gained anything worth my time. I never feel like my view was challenged. And that's not me being stubborn, its the fact that I'm not even fucking sure sometimes if we are even talking about the same thing. And if you try to leave a response, its similarly useless. They just start debating their preconceived notions. I don't need to be there at all.
[–]2 Mredpillschool[S] 30 points31 points32 points 11 months ago (9 children)
The hallmark of people hating on the red pill is they never get our position correctly before bashing it.
[–]17 Endorsed ContributorArchwinger 27 points28 points29 points 11 months ago (5 children)
Which is verified time and time again when somebody posts a clear and convincing Red Pill response to an issue, without mentioning The Red Pill or using any of the common terminology around here, and without having a bunch of Red Pill evident in his post history. That stuff gets praised, upvoted, proclaimed as glorious.
But begin that exact same post with, "I'm a Red Pill advocate, and what I think is:" and you get banned from wherever you were posting for being evil.
The Red Pill is reddit's boogieman. The worst insult anybody can say to anybody else in all of reddit is Red Pill. If you've ever seen or touched The Red Pill subreddit, it's an automatic ban in like 3/4 of the rest of reddit.
But the ideas are super-sound and very well-accepted. Just not the existence of The Red Pill. People hate the existence. But love the ideas. Go figure.
[–]fr1ction 8 points9 points10 points 11 months ago* (3 children)
I read a study (and I don't have the source but if someone wants it I'll search for it) where the same type of thing happened in recent events with Obamacare. When people were asked about the things in the ACA stood for (no denial for preexisting conditions, limiting the amount of revenue that health care providers could use for administrative costs, etc) they loved it, but when asked why they didn't like Obamacare (using the term itself) they spouted off some nonsense about partisanship and anti-Democrat and liberal nazis and what have you.
It demonstrated the difference between people knowing what that "thing" was about, and just having a knee-jerk reaction at the name without knowing anything about it.
My point is that sometimes the words we use to describe things ("RedPill", "Obamacare", "Feminism", etc) create some automatic defense mechanism in some people where they will be against it, whether or not they actually agree in principle of the thing. It's a weird phenomenon and I'm sure someone out there in history has described it but it's one I wish that we, as the human species, could get over. I wish we could start looking at things as they are instead of just dismissing things based on their name.
edit: I would like to say that this has no bearing on whether or not I agree with Obamacare, as I don't want to bring politics into this subreddit; but it is an example of recent, specific behavior that I am aware of.
[–]Furyk_Karede 13 points14 points15 points 11 months ago (0 children)
You just made me realize that maybe I should hate feminism a little less.
[–]Stopher 7 points8 points9 points 11 months ago (0 children)
Politics is tribal. People hate you just because you're on the "other side". I have a feeling it's the same with feminists and TRPs.
[–]1veggie_girl -1 points0 points1 point 10 months ago (0 children)
Much like how Hitler used propaganda to change public opinion on things, like Jewish people.
[–]suscitare 6 points7 points8 points 11 months ago (0 children)
Without the red pill many of us would be alienated, shamed and censored for merely pointing out red pill truths. They hate the red pill because it neutralises their weapons of alienation and shame by providing a "safe space" (if I may hijack a term from feminism) to converse.
[–]17 Endorsed ContributorHumanSockPuppet 7 points8 points9 points 11 months ago (0 children)
I actually savour the idea that when people discover I'm a "terper", that they imagine me as some monstrous undulating mass of flesh and hair, leaking my rapist's semen all over my keyboard.
I want people to think the worst of me before they've met me. Makes me feel like Batman.

What I don't understand is how this sub has "taken the place of SRS" to be hated. Is there evidence that TRP "brigrades"? I'm willing to give them credit if the subreddit leaks .. but from what I've seen is that SRS is still up to their old tricks.
[–]1Sergnb 0 points1 point2 points 10 months ago (0 children)
They pick a straw, and put it on the floor. Then they pick another, and another, and another, until they've built a straw man. And then they put a nametag on it and say "this is our enemy", completely disregarding that people who that nametag may refer to do not look like people made out of straws.
And then they set fire to it and anyone who wears that nametag.
You can pretty much tell when they start their posts with "I've only been on TRP once" or similar. Seriously now?
[–]1johnnight 32 points33 points34 points 11 months ago* (3 children)
Mods, there is too much stuff submitted.
With fewer members this was a discussion circle. At +41K a polite debate is less and less possible. I'm tired of sifting through post submissions containing sudden red pill realisations over trivial things. I was doing this before to rescue good posts, but there is too much noise now. This place is potentially going to 100K and at that point the mob behavior will take over. It's going to be an "evil woman hate fest", because loudmouth psychos will find this place.
I'm in favor of limiting who can submit posts, so that we move the communication mode from "debate" to "lecture".
Also, how about open threads, where people can post links which do not qualify for an own post.
[–]fr1ction 11 points12 points13 points 11 months ago (0 children)
post submissions containing sudden red pill realisations
post submissions containing sudden red pill realisations
This seems like it would be a good candidate for a weekly thread.
In itself I don't see how these types of threads would be bad but I can definitely see how they'd get old. Don't we want to foster personal growth though? People sharing little tidbits about how they've grown seems like a good thing despite some people becoming bored with it.
Could it be a problem that is solved by proper tagging?

Thank you guys for this. I've only been in this sub for about a month and have really enjoyed the high quantity of quality, informative posts and discussions. But the kinds of posts you mention are not of the afformentioned high quality type and add clutter to the sub more than anything.
Thanks for all the work you mods do to maintain my favorite sub!

Do you guys get paid to do this?
[–]2 Mredpillschool[S] 16 points17 points18 points 11 months ago (3 children)
Nope. I do have advertisements on my website- puerarchy.com but they bring in slightly less than I pay for hosting. WAH WAH
[–]Patriarchal_Bondage -2 points-1 points0 points 11 months ago (2 children)
I didn't realize Puer had any ads, I don't have adblockr enabled for either...

[–]Patriarchal_Bondage -2 points-1 points0 points 10 months ago (0 children)
Ooooh, I see now. Should've realized that's what they did.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 months ago (10 children)
Out of curiosity, how do the troll posts happen? Isn't there a certain amount of karma a user has to generate on this sub before they can post submissions? So do they just make a bunch of constructive comments and then all of a sudden come out with a troll post? Seems like a lot of effort...
[–]2 Mredpillschool[S] 16 points17 points18 points 11 months ago (6 children)
Yes, they actually have to burn real accounts or age new accounts to do it.
It makes my job even more fun, knowing that each post they make burns a week of work to get that account.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 11 months ago (1 child)
Just adds a whole new layer of comedy. Thanks for the info.
[–]2 Mredpillschool[S] 10 points11 points12 points 11 months ago (0 children)
It doesn't stop the trolling, but it raises the price for them, and lowers it for me.
[–]draketton -1 points0 points1 point 11 months ago (3 children)
Anyone who is serious about circumventing time requirements on reddit will make a batch of ~100 accounts using temp email and let them all passively age.
[–]2 Mredpillschool[S] 4 points5 points6 points 11 months ago (0 children)
Passive aging won't get them enough karma to qualify. They have to use the accounts during that time.
[–]TerryYockey -1 points0 points1 point 11 months ago (0 children)
I would think the effort involved would negate any gains from doing it.
[–]jd_coud9 -1 points0 points1 point 11 months ago (0 children)
Scripting such actions is trivial.
[–]Humansteaks03 -1 points0 points1 point 11 months ago (2 children)
Nope, (almost) any user can submit content in (almost) any sub.

We have an automod that blocks new users to prevent trolling.
[–]Humansteaks03 4 points5 points6 points 11 months ago (0 children)

[–]drallcom3 0 points1 point2 points 10 months ago (0 children)
What about links without any explanation or commentary? I see a lot of links that just get thrown into here. It's not quality, it's just spam. Many are adbait btw.
[–]Doctor_Mayhem 0 points1 point2 points 10 months ago (0 children)
This article says it all, but for TL;DR: leftists, feminists, and other 'ist motherfuckers, are by nature, narcissistic. Truth deals narcissistic injury and the only way they way they can cope is by spreading their anger so their fellow narcissists can rally in their support groups and all squawk about how bad we are so they can reinforce their beliefs.
It's great, because these idiots are being the Manosphere's unwitting shock troops to spread the message.
[–]dropdeadhalxx 0 points1 point2 points 10 months ago (0 children)
Eh, I can see where women can improve on some things. But both sexes can in general. I think mostly it's because women at used to being treated like royalty. But we scream equality, some need to live by that. I think what this subreddit is most talked about because it's generally pointed in about the whole alpha and beta theory. Just my opinion in general. Making men seem as the higher species. But I guess you also have to read between the lines.
[–]EducatedCavemen -2 points-1 points0 points 11 months ago (2 children)
Alright! you guys heard the man. This sub is about becoming better people not comparing ourselves with tards. Let us not lower our standards.

Holy shit that is some funny stuff!
[–]boney_hoo_hoo 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (1 child)
The discussions that happen about TRP outside of the sub are hilarious, if anything. Hamsters and betas seem to have a lot of fun jerking each other off and feeling ennobled. Meanwhile, when one of us Red Pillers makes a valid point in another sub, the hamsters flock to check our post history to find a "flaw" in our argument. I've seen a thousand examples in the few months I've been here, and it feels good to be hated out of jealousy. That said, I love the new rule: keep that shit out of here.

I don't think so, but if it happens, check out http://puerarchy.com for details and a new forum.

Question, if it happens for this subreddit to be deleted (It is possible in reddit thanks to SRS) where should I go to find a community like this one?

41,540 users subscribed as of now. All it would take would be for each one of us to write a short email to the admins of reddit, detailing why TRP is great and why they made a huge mistake.

What about a pre-written comment to defend trp and show how it's not bad, and pleases the haters, to correct their skewed views on this sub?
[–]2 Mredpillschool[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (0 children)
Write it up. I don't think the haters hate because we can't explain it- I think it's because they don't want to understand it. Much easier to hate.

About time. That shit was getting way out of hand.

you missed the point
"they're talking about us" posts are not welcome because it's garbage navel gazing that fills up the front page
TRP does not need defending, it's not a political movement, we don't gain anything from convincing people of its validity besides maybe more field reports

It's a clear cut case that whores like gossip. It's the same basic and incessant need. It's about filling a void with men. It's indicative of a deep and great weakness.

Thank you mods, I appreciate it. I really don't want this place to be reactionary or concerning ourselves with other subreddit opinions or issues. This is a place to better ourselves and help each other. It starts and ends there so I appreciate it.

It would help if we knew what makes a "look you are mentioned" post? Examples of what to avoid? Is hate all ya got?
Edit: Its a joke, let the haters hate is the only example we get other than references to drama and gossip. Going to be tough avoiding them two but hate is never a good thing.

We're removing the 30 "look somebody mentioned us" posts we get a day. It's not opposing viewpoints, it's just drama.
