"While my school is pretty liberal on paper, the student base is easily one of the sluttiest colleges in America. "

Maybe my brain is fried from being up too late, but why do those two things conflict?

    The administration is probably thinking:

    1) Number of issued tickets for drinking is down.
    2) Our plan to reduce drinking is working, be even more severe when issuing tickets.

There's one thing they don't consider rape, which is men being raped. They call that "justice."

Yeah. I love talking to rape-activists about how I was raped as a virgin.

A girl I didn't really want to fuck got me drunk. Then I fucked her.

      POOOOOOR ME!!!!

It's not the act itself that makes "rape", it's how the person views the act the next morning.

The unfortunate thing is the massively broad definition of rape they're using today dilutes the meaning for those women who are truly raped.

There's a HUGE difference between the experience of getting drunk and banging someone you won't fuck sober, and being pulled behind a bush then being forced to have sex with someone. And putting those two together just dilutes the severity of the latter.

I served with a guy like this. He was your typical frat-boy alpha male with his choice of the women. His only downfall was that he could not tolerate alcohol. Like, at all. A single beer would get him feeling it, two would get him drunk, and three he was ready to black out. No idea why, but his body didn't like alcohol. One hang-on ugly chick from the campus found out and put some Everclear in his soda at one party and proceeded to lead him up stair and take advantage of him. He sobered up to this tundra-wookie in his bed and he called her on it. He even went to his dean (a female) and lodged a complaint. She didn't do shit because he was a man and "men don't get raped".

When a woman rapes another woman that is considered the good kind of rape by feminists.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Vagina_Monologues

It also originally included the line, "If it was rape, it was a good rape." which was removed from later versions.

I hadn't finished the sentence before I started asking what the motivation would be to go home unless they were also doing bed checks.

Calling them stupid is actually the most generous interpretation. One could also infer that they're okay with underage drinking and rape going up, as long as their liability for what happens goes down.

That's pure gold. This is one of those beautiful instances where a bunch of pseudo-intellectuals get together and have an intellectual circle-jerk trying to invent some elaborate solution to a problem, only to have the solution backfire in their faces. I learned a lonnnng time ago that there is quite frequently a large gap between theory and practice, and this case shows it.

The feminazis don't want them to,

Feminists want women to engage in girl on girl... they are 100% ok with that, just as thet are 100% ok with female pedophiles.

Feminism at it's core is driven by angry, ugly lesbians. They can't stand the idea of women riding cock.

So let me get this straight. Instead of having drunk girls come home, where someone who may know them could intervene if something goes wrong, they are actively encouraging them to stay away from the dorms. Not only is it making hooking up easier, they're practically serving up rape victims on a silver platter by mandating that they go home with their attackers to an unfamiliar environment.

        Yeah. Makes PERFECT sense.

Well the school is caught between a rock and a hard place...

Legally they cannot be seen to be condoning underage drinking. So they give out citations to underage drinkers.

Likewise they cannot be seen to be just allowing rampant sex to happen on school grounds and possibly risk being sued for someone's rape claim (false or otherwise). So they make a policy that they cant have visitors if they're drunk.

They also cant change either of these rules because to do so would be seen to be failing the students and you know feminazis would just flip their shit.

He might. Once the article goes viral though, the school's reputation can get trashed (Duke) and when it is proven false, the school has had to spend a ton of money on legal efforts and looks like a "bad environment for females", may have fallen a slot in the arbitrary rankings, etc. A single rape claim won't screw with a school, but if there is some big rape scandal like Duke or something, the school can lose a lot of money.

If Huffpo ran an article about how cocacola causes cancer and the article was proven to be bunk, Coke can still really suffer.

Coke is already suffering from the fat brigade. There is nothing wrong with a single serving of Coca Cola, it's like any sweet, but the fat brigade is trying to claim that Coca Cola is responsible for obesity. It if is not coke, it will be something else. You will get fat from healthy foods if you keep stuffing it in your face.

I manage in a restaurant and have to change out the HFCS bags for the freestyle machine we have there because inventory and whatever. That shit feels like human fat in a bag. There is a compressed air tank about the size of an argon shielding gas welding tank right next to them, just to move the shit like 15 feet. It's extra gross to watch it ooze into the hoses before it gets pressurized. I don't drink pop more than like one can a week, if that now.

            [–]noblepaladin -1 points0 points  (1 child)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

We all know that HFCS is bad for you, and if you look for reasons why it is bad you will find it. I'm sure if do enough research, you'll find something about cane sugar that is worse than HFCS.

The main reason why HFCS is used in the U.S. is because of the sugar tariff and corn subsidy. Normal sugar is used in most other countries and people are getting fat there too. If there is a significant increase in the amount of coke consumed when using HFCS, even if it is one can a year per user, you can bet that Coca Cola will be using HFCS in countries without the sugar tariff and corn subsidy, because that one extra can would have made up the cost difference. People are getting fat in countries that don't use HFCS too.

Is Coke bad for you? Yes. But specifically targeting Coca Cola and selectively pushing specific science articles to create a narrative is just a way of deflecting the issue, e.g. it's all the HFCS messing with these brain chemicals that is making everybody fat, not that they lack the willpower to stop stuffing their face. By naming Coca Cola the evil bad guy, it creates a false dichotamy, because people automatically think that if there is an evil bad guy, there must be good guys (who benefits from pushing this message?) and there must be victims ("It's not my fault, I'm being victimized!"). In reality, it's just a junk food company and you are in control of what you do.

I can't disagree more. 150 calories is like 10% of what your average fatass should be taking in daily.

Think maybe 2-4 cans of Coke a day and you're already skipping lunch.

I tell everyone that bitches about their weight to stop putting sugar in their tea and coffee and to stop drinking soda. No reason you should forgo cake because you drank your calories earlier in the day.

            Also corn syrup.

            [–]noblepaladin 2 points3 points  (1 child)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

If you are going to care about the 140 calories per 12oz serving, then you should be against all forms of junk food, most of which actually has more calories than a serving of coke. But, the fat brigade specifically focuses on Coca Cola, who actually sells more zero-calorie Diet Coke than the classic Coke.

I'm not saying that Coke is good for you, but that the fat brigade is highly political and in selecting Coca Cola as their target, why not everybody else in the snack food world? A vending machine size bag of chips is like 2 cans of Coke. Most fruit juices have more calories than Coke. The people who are convinced not to drink Coke are not going to water. It's like the fad against all GMO foods recently, people don't really understand it.

Drunk calories don't make you feel full, unless dairy/fat is involved. Since much of a person's eating is done based on hunger, simply cutting calorie carrying drinks, but continuing to eat what you want to eat when hungry can make a huge difference.

This isn't just coke, but also sobe, Mt. Dew, sweet tea, etc.

Snickers or Payday, having protein and physical substance to them, are far more likely to reduce your consumption of other foods than an equivalent amount of coffee with sugar.

Of course that's not to say I'm advocating eating a snickers over getting some cashew chicken, or an unwich, or a salad with grilled chicken, or some other bulkier and more nutritious food.

As an American who went to uni in the UK, I'm glad I never had to worry about the university busting my balls for letting people underage drink (I was 23 when I started). My university on the whole was pretty chill about student drinking. One of the school traditions sees the entire student population get wasted, focusing specifically on 1st and 2nd years. It was not uncommon to see some random 18yo covered in paint trying not to puke on a random child or or passed out in a garden with his trousers wet from pissing himself. Classy.

                Cobra effect:

The cobra effect occurs when an attempted solution to a problem actually makes the problem worse. This is an instance of unintended consequence(s). The term is used to illustrate the causes of incorrect stimulation in economy and politics. There is also a 2001 book with the same title by Horst Siebert, a German economist and professor.

Girls have the biological ability to SLUT. They can have sex with 25 guys a day and achieve orgasm aftwer orgasm with little discomfort, as long as they get clitoral stimulation. Meanwhile guys can struggle to orgasm 25 times in a week.

So women withhold sex when they can easily offer it up, as a way to impose artificial scarcity. They use sex as a tool, even though most of them can go without it without much psychological effect, while guys moreso NEED sex for prostrate health and mental health.

The OP's example iterates that women can turn their juices on or off at will. Like nothing, if it serves their purposes.

What? Unless those are 3 minute orgasms, girls start getting pretty sore after a while, even with lube.

Okay maybe I exaggerated. But women are capable of having more orgasms than guys, and having sex more often.

As a Man I support slutiness in all forms as it benefits my fellow men. After years of close parental supervision, girls just want to drink and party. Is that so wrong? If the dorm is going to be some Nazi Checkpoint then, I guess people are going to avoid it.

The next thing im going to tell you is RA's are people too they dont want to put up with bullshit of epic proportions. Rules don't get enforced if they are too much of a hassle to enforce. Just blitz past the check point and lock your door. If the RA knocks on your door tell him your naked and busy. If that doesn't work start masturbating.

It realy bothers me when Im subject to arbitrary rules and im willing to do pretty much anything to maintain my freedom.

If you lived on the bottom floor you could make a nice chunk of change smuggling people in through your window on Friday and Saturday nights. Say $10 a piece, you could easily net $100+ a weekend. Their is also the possibility of getting some action from some chick too.

Don't you remember the catholic school girl stereotype? Their sexuality is suppressed for so long that they explode like a soda can of sluttyness as soon as they are free. You have allow these things to be expressed in a healthy way or you'll get that happening.

No, there's definitely a divide in 'normality'. I can easily separate homeschooled kids from public school kids from private school kids. Homeschooled kids are super fucking weird, but the girls are super freaky due to their not being constantly exposed to sexualized reality.

In fact I read some paper long time ago that claimed by the time they are teenagers the peer group has far more influence than the parents. The only thing to do I guess is getting the kids into some high school that has decent attitudes overall.

The problem with feminists is that they're women and they all have different have ideas on what they should get out of the organization. Men usually just sit back and watch the higher ups do their thing and get shit done for them. We take what we can get as an added bonus.

Creating incentives for girls to stay out of their own residences, especially when they've been drinking, during the middle of the night, seems like it will do the exact opposite of what they're hoping. I'd be surprised if there aren't more rapes because of this.

Well of course there aren't. The ACTUAL amount of rapes that occur is WAY below what the fear-mongers want you to believe. MOST of the scare tactics percentages they use are all in their heads...

a lot of large universities require that fish stay in the dorms for the first year now. probably to try control kid's lives and maintain a better public image, like with the measures this guy is talking about. it was a drag to live in that shit tower and have to sneak around to smoke weed and have fun, but at least it was easier to form study groups and share homework. people would write physics solutions on their dorm door's whiteboards, which was handy.
