I noticed today that Bill Burr had a nice anit-feminist rant on his most recent podcast. However, he never refers directly to feminists, just "those people", or whatever. I wonder why that is . . .

I know there's a chance you might be asking the question rhetorically, but for anybody who's wondering- saying "those people" instead of "feminists" allows you to make a point without pigeonholing yourself as an X-hater. Classic Powertalk tactic- be as vague as possible about as much as possible. Plausible deniability is everything.

So true. She doesnt have a hamster, she is the hamster. Social justice warrior to boot. Seems like the polar opposite of what he would go for. They have good chemistry on the podcast though.

Female emotion is so powerful that I've allowed myself to become AFRAID of it! I tip-toe around it like a mousey punk because society

dude I totally get what you're saying. i think all guys would relate to that feeling.

But the mind-blowing part is when you realize that we're like the 2nd or 3rd generation of guys to actually take female emotion seriously in all of human history. For thousands of years men have understood the role they have and the role their women have, we've only recently fucked it up.

    welcome to the club, buddy

The biggest thing for me too was that women aren't evil or consciously using emotion to manipulate others into serving them - it's in their nature. It's inherent. It's an evolutionary trait that was at some point required to survive as the physically weaker gender. And there's nothing wrong with it either, you simply need to identify it and adapt to it. Any anger or disbelief you may experience accepting this is caused by the disinformation rooted deep in your brain. But now you're unplugged and you can start looking at reality for what it is

Nature is nature but in western society the issue is the nurture aspect. We are brought up with feminist ideals in a feminist school system surrounded by a PC-focused uber feminist society. As a result most women tend to embrace their shitty natures and it becomes the "right thing to do", while men basically get castrated.

Go to any other society and you'll notice a big difference in cultural values. I'm personally chinese and back home men are told by their fathers to be men, to take responsibility, and to go to college and become successful. Girls growing up are still told "oh you can't find a rich husband if you aren't feminine enough" and are instilled with traditional values, though there is an emphasis for both sexes to go to a good western university and get a good job. As a result we don't have stupid feminist bullshit in china, and women are alot more respectful towards men in terms of the relationship power dynamic. We may have other issues back home but feminazis definitely isn't one of them.

Have you ever had sex, Miss? You do realize that as a woman, you are ALWAYS the fuck-EE . . . you're always going to depend on a man to do man things.

The problem with this chick is she's used to treating men like this, and she's never had a great guy that can put her into the proper "second" role.

    RIP Patrice!

This post could be a great start. Really refreshed my mind because of the way he presents the issue. And the way he deals with the callers and his co-host women.

The way he deals with the women on his show is brilliant. I am hesitant to call them co-hosts because Patrice made his show hierarchy very clear.

Man, his "The Elephant in the room," an hour of his standup, was posted here a few weeks ago and I watched it before reading the comments, not knowing he was gone. He talks in there about how he knew he was diabetic, so he knew it was coming. And there was also a bit on the black philip show about how he was depressed for a few months. Anyway, it hit me pretty hard when I found out he was gone, realizing that he wasn't afraid to go.

No kidding. His diet destroyed him. Atkins diet, ketogenic diet, or anything low in carbohydrates would have cleared him of the health problems he had.

      genetics more than lifestyle

I find that a bit hard to believe, at least entirely; he could have been more susceptible than the average person but he clearly had an unhealthful lifestyle driving his poor health. He had diabetes for two decades before his stroke. Having blood sugar control issues puts one at risk for a huge number of health problems, one of which is stroke.

My hero. The man who changed my life. And sadly, the reason I started working out again.

Love Patrice but saw his flaws, both physically and with his method of discourse. You can be blunt without being savage.

      [–]Thomas_Crapper 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I disagree. That he was "savagely" honest is what separated him from the rest. If he mitigated his language, then he would not be who he was.

His savage honesty is why he was so respected by his fellow comedians.

Patrick O'Neal had a total of 13 Black Philip episodes right?

You can find the torrent and download all 13. I just want to make sure it's all of them.

Oh and just for others to know, all the clips and 5-10 vids online you see of him can be traced back to these hour long shows which are great and fantastic.

I recommend just going through the whole episodes.

Honestly, listen to them all, they're all really good. Even the ones at the end where jeffrey starts bringing his girls around, but for different reasons, less truth and more entertainment.

My favorite two: 1) one bit where he was talking about how women go through life moment to moment like a goldfish, never thinking about what happened to them in the past and using that to inform future behavior.

      2) He was talking about how subtlety and nuance is lost on women. He brought up the dog whisperer in a point he was trying to make (not comparing women to dogs) and the female guests just could not get past the fact that he used women and dogs in the same thought to even hear what he was saying.

Yeah it really is. We can type what patrice says but a lot of guys won't "get it" and will write it off as "hate" unless a witty angry black man is shouting it at them with colourful metaphors. The delivery is often what gets the wisdom acknowledged not the wisdom in and of itself, which is kind of sad.
