The analogy started great but I think you killed it by inserting "betas" and stuff like that.

I don't mean to kill the circle jerk, I'm just offering feedback. At the point I mean, I think it should just cut the analogy and go to the explanation and conclusion.

I agree with this, it takes a class analogy and cheapens it a bit, but overall a good analogy.

There are alpha and beta DHVs and DLVs. Alpha doesn't = good 100% of the time, and beta isn't bad 100% of the time.

Most specifically, it takes a good deal of beta traits to raise children. Being a provider for them, most obviously.

As for the second half of your reply... that doesn't even make sense in this context. You misread what I said I guess.

This might be the best analogy I've ever seen... Great post !

    Thank you.

It seems I'm getting downvoted by these bluepill users that are coming here because they don't like what they're reading

I'm being downvoted to fuck as well. This entire sub is being brigaded right now since it was voted "second worst subreddit"

Honestly I don't know why that stupid voting bullshit even carries the weight or drama that it has/does.

    [–]Divinityfound 6 points7 points  (6 children)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Who voted it to be the second worst?

Can you see my 1st post? Apparently automoderator wont even let you link to threads in this subreddit

    [–]Divinityfound 3 points4 points  (0 children)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Didn't see it. Now I am mildly embarrassed. Thanks for the heads up.

It's not allowed because otherwise the reddit admins will delete this sub. They're looking for any excuse.

    [–]TheEyeUrnShaft -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

That doesn't make any sense. How could we brigade the very sub we're already in? How do we point people to other threads?

    [–]iseeyou1312 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

The automoderator blocks all links to reddit. The mods don't know how to configure it to excluding this sub, or if it's even possible to do that. If you want to link someone you have to tell them what to search.

Honestly I don't know why that stupid voting bullshit even carries the weight or drama that it has/does.

The majority of reddit fancies themselves social justice warriors, out to hop on the bandwagon of perceived reality based on what everyone else is hating. Basic social conditioning, not unlike what you might find in real life. e.g.:

Meek Beta: "How about that new Hip-Hop artist? Kinda sucks, huh?"

Group: "He actually makes pretty good music."

Meek Beta: "Yeah, I guess you're right. His stuff is pretty sick."

You're right in that it's total bullshit, but at least in the U.S. (not sure where you are), with voting comes drama and social posturing. It's both aggravating and hilarious at the same time.

"There is no such thing as bad publicity"

Well, technically true. In the long run, the brigading will end and those affected by the exposure brought on by the "SWS incident" will stay.

But until then, we have to deal with it.

Thank you for the link. A downloadable pdf is at the end of the article and the quotes from the blog are great.

With a number of good blogs shutting down or reformatting I have found it useful to save useful pages in pdf format.

    Awesome post!

Reminds me of the irony behind one of the arguments of feminism: "so what if I want to have more sex, and have it on my terms" - cool, congrats, do it, it makes it easier for all of us guys. But don't come crying about it later when you, the gatekeeper of sex, have decided that there isn't much of a gate at all and now no one of value, values you

    [–]newgabe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Exactly. When u flood the market with a product, it the value decreases. When you withhold it or it is rare, the price or market value increades. Simple market economies. Why dont bitches understand..

Sometimes ground chuck is in the eye of the beholder....A couple of my more sex/conquest driven friends seem to have no ability to discern the difference, I'm disgusted by the meat they consume.

    [–]GuideGhost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

All that matters is that the meat is appealing to them. That's the problem with the 10 scale; it's pretty subjective.

Me personally, I'm still in the quantity > quality phase. However, the quality is improving as I'm becoming more entitled to goods that are on a higher shelf.

Damn it. I just realized I've paid top dollar for fucking Hormel Spam most of my life. I had a couple pieces of steak but they were more like sirloin. My problem was that I had it in my head that I didn't deserve good steak.

    [–]MockingDead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

I paid 2100 bucks over 5 months for bitchy, feminism spouting bad sex meat.

I would have been better off fucking a can of spam.

    [–]deville05 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Oh but thats ok. If you felt you didnt deserve steak, then it was probably cuz you didnt. You didnt value yourself as someone worthy. And thats ok too cuz it means you are not in denial about yourself. Most of us are not born amazing. Hell most of us will never even reach that level. But now that your eyes are open, you can work towards it. Cuz i believe there will be a time when you will be physically fit, good looking, making good money from a job you are good at (provided you work towards that) and you will automatically feel you deserve that bottle of wine from 1958. 2011 batch just wont cut it.

As a writer, after the meat market metaphor, the sudden switch to a sinking ship, and sailing, was a bit jarring. That is all.

The price you pay is in drama. It's why I still can't believe it when I see an overweight broke women be a total pain in the ass to her guy. If heavy girl is funny, easy to get along with, has her shit together she has a good shot at keeping a guy if she can land him. It's the "I've got nothing to offer, let me break your balls and make your weekend unpleasant" that still makes me shake my head.
