I don't think most women are that clever, I think they say crap like that because they want to appear to not be shallow sluts.

Women also claim they don't care about the size of a man's penis.

You have to think about it from the perspective of the advisor. Women give advice not to be genuinely helpful, but to gain status as the person giving advice.

Everybody does this. Every entrepreneur will tell you to chase your passion, live your dream, etc. Nobody will tell you to be an opportunistic, plausible-deniability maintaining amoral dick. But the story allows them to make themselves look good, like they're somehow "chosen" for being more passionate, for being more clear-minded than everybody else.

This isn't a man vs woman thing. We all simultaneously want to sin and enjoy sainthood.

Yeah, the only thing I find more amusing than women claiming that women are angels and never do this stuff, is when guys go all bitter and claim that only women do this. This stuff is done everywhere. At a certain point, the problem is that you keep naively buying into it, get terrible results, then keep complaining that you don't understand why it's not working.

My dad does this and it drives me nuts - yeah, it sucks that the sales person keeps lying to you. But at a certain point, part of it becomes your fault that you know they're doing it and keep believing them.

Precisely. I think this is a fundamental thing that many would-be RPers don't quite get. YungSnuggie wrote about the hoe game, and I quote:

"If a stove is hot, and you know it’s hot, and touch that shit anyway, are you a victim to the stove? No, you dumb as shit for touchin’ a hot stove. The stove was just doing what a stove do; be hot.

Same situation here. Shorty was a hoe. PG knew she was a hoe. She just doin’ what hoes do; be a hoe. If you get a hoe pregnant, she gonna be a hoe and take your money. Nobody forced PG to fuck her, he wasn’t raped by the bitch, he voluntarily cheated on his girl and got her pregnant."

This is a truth of reality that I'm very tired of seeing RPers fail to grasp. There is zero point complaining about it. You accept it for what it is, see it for what it is, and work around it.

Don't lift/exercise/diet in order to be a facebook achievement prize for some fucker to claim.

Lift to make the god's themselves quake in your dedication to love yourself, make the very foundations of the Earth tremble in shock of your goal to care about yourself enough to stay committed to set an ideal for other humans to strive for.

Love yourself enough to do it for yourself.

Let the bitches/bastards drooling over you be some secondary endeavor to pass the time with when you are bored.

You might start to train with gaining sex as your goal, but you will end up with the goal being more training. It is an amazing addiction.

Yea I agree, but if you're gonna dedicate your entire being to something I think you should do in pursuit of Creating something outside of yourself. Whether that's a novel, paintings, math, science, engineering, architecture, social/legal reform. Even with roids there's a limit to what you can build your body into, and when you die it goes with you. Creating something fucking awesome that will stand the test of time - that is work the gods will envy.

Monuments are mortals arisen to become gods.

              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Marathon

You might not remember who fought, where, under which banners or for what cause.

But you remember that bad ass motherfucking man who ran from Marathon to Athens to have our culture, indeed our very fucking species celebrate his achievement and attempt to emulate it as a pinnacle of human athleticism.

The traditional story relates that Pheidippides (530 BC–490 BC), an Athenian herald or hemerodrome[2] (translated as "day-runner" (Kyle 2007),[5] "courier" (Larcher 1806),[6][7] "professional-running courier" (Sears 2003)[2] or "day-long runner" (Miller 2006)[8]), was sent to Sparta to request help when the Persians landed at Marathon, Greece. He ran about 240 km (150 mi) in two days. He then ran the 40 km (25 mi) from the battlefield near Marathon to Athens to announce the Greek victory over Persia in the Battle of Marathon (490 BC) with the word νικῶμεν (nikomen[9] "We have won"), as stated by Lucian chairete, nikomen ("hail, we are the winners")[10] to then collapse and die."

You might have more to think about than a mere achievement of human body, but to thank this man for the very culture in which we live. Some scholars believe that this battle is one of the most important ones fought in all of human history.

"The battle was a defining moment for the young Athenian democracy, showing what might be achieved through unity and self-belief; indeed, the battle effectively marks the start of a "golden age" for Athens.[100] This was also applicable to Greece as a whole; "their victory endowed the Greeks with a faith in their destiny that was to endure for three centuries, during which western culture was born".

Statues are sometimes but mere dust and clay, reflections of what the person or event they mirror truly was.

"Power comes not from the steel, but in the hand that wields it."

In all honesty, I understand the "Don't work out for girls, work out for yourself mentality".

But is working out for the sole purpose of making chicks wet around you really the same thing? You're working out to make getting women easier for yourself, not to wine and dine them into a relationship.

Regardless of how much game you have, you can still make it infinitely easier by not being a fat fuck. Simple as that

In the past when I started working out, I hated it and would give up, telling myself it was stupid because I was being vain and only working out for shallow reasons. My main motivation was so I'd get laid more/look hot.

I got older and my body got shittier feeling I decided to work out for health and to just feel better. Been at it for two years feel awesome most of the time, and I get laid more.

For whatever reason if getting laid is my primary motivation to almost anything I do I won't see it through(too many blue pills maybe). I have to value some other benifit it has more than sex or I start to lose interest in it.

I work in an office with an employee that is ex NFL. He is early 40s and has kept working out rigorously since retirement. He is very bulky and very ripped.

Every woman in the office drools over him. From early 20s to late 40s and all levels of attractiveness. There are also many occasions where we interact with lots of people that don't work for us. The reaction of women that see him for the first time is the same, independent of their age or level of attractiveness.

I'm not saying less bulk and less ripped is not worth it. Different goals work for different people. My point is that i think there is nearly no limit to the amount of muscle women fantasize about.

Every pound of muscle gained, every pound of fat lost, and every visible vein gained has an additional beneficial effect.

Actually, men systematically overestimate women's preferences for male body types. This has been repeatedly proven over and over again.

U.K. lingerie company Bluebella surveyed 1,000 men and women to see which celebrities each gender considered to have the ideal physical traits.

                          surveyed

Yup, what do we usually say about asking women what they like in men? The only way to really know would be to see how they actually respond to a jacked guy hitting on them, not what they claim they like.

                          [–]brucebwang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think women actually tell you what they really want? They tell you what they want you to think. Women don't say they want a ripped body because they don't want to appear shallow and totally focused on appearance but put someone like OP with a mediocre body next to a fitness model and no woman is gonna choose OPs 4 pack and slight muscle over the fitness model.

Do people actually think OPs body is impressive, being serious here that's attainable in less than a year of consistently working out with an okay diet.

To quote an oft repeated truism, abs are made in the kitchen. Take in less calories than you burn and your abs will start showing. That and do some fucking crunches.

This here. It's a common myth that all is required are crunches to get abs. It's impossible until the fat is cleared out around your mid section.

You have the exception to this rule. While you won't have any fat surrounding your muscle, it still needs to be developed. In this case, lifting and bulking up will get your abs out, but you'd need to eat a considerable amount to build muscle. Mass gaining supplements will give you some assistance here. High calories/carbs/protein in every scoop of powder.

What I said was more for the folks that do constant ab exercises expecting them to show through their fat. While doing core workouts are still useful for massive, compound lifting, it's ultimately the diet that needs to be adjusted to see abs.

If you don't have abs and you're skinny you probably have a lot more body fat than you think. Google "skinny fat".

Crunches are bad for your back. Do leg raises and planks.

If you do them improperly and also don't stretch, then yes, absolutely. Read this. It puts a reasonable doubt on the validity of the mcgill study and provides some extra anecdotal evidence.

I just do planks. Leg raises aren't great for the desk bound either (it reinforces anterior pelvic tilt).

In fact I'm about to start yoga because of how tight my hips are.

Also bad for your posture due to the way they shorten your hip flexors. For abs I really only do planks. Those are enough for me and I don't have shitty pelvic tilt from it.

If you get good at leg raises you could do any number of crunches without feeling a thing, way better exercise if you're gonna tilt your back. Otherwise plank. Spot on.

Yes kitchen no crunches. Muscles get big by lifting heavy weights. Abs are no different. Heavy squat + heavy dead + less fat = abs.

Crunches to build abs is like running a marathon to get big legs.

That is a dumb and incorrect analogy. A more appropriate analogy is that crunches to build abs is like doing a leg extension machine to build legs. They both build muscle. Also, Arnold would like a word with you.

Did I ever say that either Heavy squats or deads didn't build abs or weren't absolutely essential to a comprehensive workout regimen? Read threads carefully before commenting, it will help in your comprehension skills and prevent you from making idiotic assumptions.

No evidence? He posted a formula to help determine whether a person was on steroids, and he was brushing the limit of the damn thing. And at his age, maintaining that much muscle at the low BF% is simply impossible without TRT. If he was 15-30 years younger, then I might believe him. But at his age (53 years old) I simply can't.

                                            His chest shape/insertions = genetics

His chest size/amount of muscle = good test + years of lifting or a few cycles

You really can't control your chest shape very much. All you can really do is fill it.

Diet. Low bodyfat (around 10%) usual ==> abs. If you have trouble cutting down or seeing your abs once you get there, a macro cycling diet (like leangains) is useful for some.

You see.... That's the thing that women never want to admit. They're shallow. Have a decent body and a big wad of cash and watch them flock. This definitely exposes what most men should already know.

Random question... why do girls like skinny muscular guys more than beefy jacked guys with a little more bodyfat?

I'm of the opinion that it has less to do with actual muscle mass and more to do with body shape.

If you have a toned waist, then your broad shoulders will stand out more, even if a fatter guys shoulders are technically "broader."

Skinny muscular guys have an association with guys who just didn't eat a lot but did anything physical at all so they looked good. Skinny muscular == in good shape without trying to hard at it.

In the last decade visible muscles have seen a lot more social acceptance - used to be a sign that someone was working extra to look like that, but in the last 10 years practically everyone on tv is in that kind of shape. It used to be not as popular as it is now.

But beefy jacked guys have an association with meathead idiot rageaholics who are social loser, and lift to compensate for the inability to play the social game. Punks, thugs, guys who have no lives other than spending time in the gym - for better or worse, this is what being a beefy jacked guy is associated with.

And at the risk of offending people and getting downvoted, is it a wrong general perception? I remember watching a video from the #1 world record breaking guy in powerlifting, and he was talking about how his life is all messed up and he was actually quitting to try to get things under control. If I go downtown, usually the guys with that physique aren't the brightest. Jersey Shore anyone?

Skinny + Muscular says "In Shape". And look at Bruce Lee - clearly having huge bulky muscles is not a requirement for being an excellent fighter. Beefy Jacked Guy says "I have nothing going on but being in the gym".

I remember another poster said the key to being jacked was to keep women talking and ask them questions that demonstrated that you were intelligent. If they saw you as smart, that would completely change their feelings towards you being muscular and they'd love it (if you got rid of that dumb thug impression that they often started off with).

Probably just social imagery. Brad Pitt body types are always portrayed as sexy in the media. Hulked out body types are often portrayed as dangerous in the media.

Yeah. I reckon the statue of David look is the ideal. It looks strong, athletic and also natural. Much like how girls who go overboard on getting plastic surgery on their tits and ass look over the top.

The overly beefed up look can also impact on movement (can become clunky) lots of girls are into it though.

Umm ... it's tinder. It's solely about attractive people finding other attractive people to have casual sex with so obviously your body will be the only thing they care about. There is no way to display social status or any form of status / ability other then a ripped body.

Actual female attraction is far more complicated then that.

He wasn't suggesting that attraction = physical attraction, merely that this demonstrates that it is a key element. Whether he actually fucks these girls or not, that will depend on a variety of factors. His point is that being in good shape is essentially very effective marketing / peacocking.

We've been over this last year. He's just another of the new folk who's had some success and is throwing it out there like it's gospel. This is really basic shit, might as well make a post about how women will cheat on a weak supplicating partner whenever given the opportunity. What he posted is not any sudden revelation nor any kind of "proof", only that showing a ripped body in a venue that only appreciates ripped bodies will have large amounts of success. That's like a women making a post "proving" that women with tight bodies and big breasts win wet tee shirt contests. It's posts like that that have all good discussion moving to the other TRP sub.

Working out and being physically healthy / active should be part of every mans core routine.

I agree with that, just saying he wasn't claiming his post was reinventing the wheel - it was titled "as if you didn't need any more proof that you should be going to the gym" which shows that he understands the majority of this userbase knows looking ripped is helpful. Since we have 2-3 threads about the tinder / okc every week, his contribution was "here is the single most effective marketing tool to use on online dating". And that is something that isn't initially obvious to all, since many people think the key is in cleverly scripted bios with demonstrations of high value snuck into every sentence.

It's a social experiment that has been done plenty of times according to TRPers who say shit like "yah I put a ripped photo of myself on tinder and a douchebag description and I been fucking 7s - 9s semi-regularly." But they never showed their results / photo of the process, so this guy's post is useful because it's transparent. You can see a body acheivable in 2 years of proper lifting / diet and a policy of not sending the 1st message gets X level of interest.

That is useful to noobies or even lurkers here who may agree with RP, but deep down doubt that it works enough to apply it in their own life. Which I would estimate is probably more than 1/2 of the 48k subscribers.

People new to this thinking can't just skip to fifth gear.

Well yeah hot girls on dating sites / apps are under a constant barrage of pings / messages. They don't have the time nor the inclination to sort through it all, that first photo is what will grab her attention and make her actually look at you. It just feels like we're constantly stating this over and over again and turning into a giant circle jerk with each revolution having to one up the last one. It's not really adding anything that we don't already know.

The point being that women value physically fit men, it isn't all about being handsome.

I decided to do my own experiment. I used the same profile pic from my other tinder account (i.e., pic of my face), but except this time, i threw in a pic of me shirtless: http://imgur.com/xlZ3YWu and I put in this line: "Let's be honest we're all here for casual hookups" where as before, it was some funny rap quote.

Before i threw in a shirtless selfie + honest tagline, I would get maybe 1-3 matches a week, at best, and this was after i swiped right on everyone. After the shirtless pic (which isn't even the main pic in my mix) i got 6 matches in an hour and a half.

I haven't messaged anyone yet (busy working right now), but i'll update with screens.

Quick note is that 15/135 is about 11% serious contenders.

Many girls just want cheap validation that they were flirting with hot abs. So OP is good in finding serious contenders asap.

If you have a squat rack and bumper plates. Deadlifts, squats, barbell rows, push ups, pull ups would make you a beast if you stick with it.

It's totally reasonable to get a body like the one in the original post at home. I've never set foot inside a gym in my life and I have the same body type. Get some kettlebells, do HIIT, tabata and fix your diet.

                                                Say it this way better:

You don't want a woman as yourself being a beta; you want a woman as yourself being an Alpha. Therefore, become an Alpha before you get women. It is better to be an Alpha without women than a beta with women.

Side note: anyone notice that in the West, it's actually more advantageous to be a little chubby than to be skinny as a guy? Whereas in Asia, you're respected more if you're skinny than if you're chubby.

That's all nice and well, but it's worth understanding that the type of responses you attract are that of women which find this sort of thing an important match in a partner.

Obviously if you're looking for another plate and your only real requirements are that she'll bounce on your dick and be thankful for the ride then hit up the hottest replies and hit that - and more power to you.

However if you're trying to find a quality partner with some intellect, some standards and isn't superficial then this is probably not a good strategy. It's the male equivalent of posting a toned tummy and epic cleavage and then wondering why all the advances you get are from guys that primarily care about your cleavage.

Nah dude... Shirtless pic never hurt nobody. Even for the nerdy guys who go after the sweet, innocent, nerdy girl type who totally professes that only dickheads do that sort of thing. If anything it shows that you are confident about your body and sexual worth and girls love confidence.

Besides, those same girls with standards are macking on the hoodlums in the summertime with their shirts off when they think you aren't paying attention to them. But not all girls are like that... right?

The women who saw your profile and messaged you are already virtually the most desperate of women though, which is why they're on that site and obviously looking for men online. They can't be used as an accurate representation of all women. A starving person is the least picky about what they will eat.

You have no evidence for your claim, and it is clearly nonsense. Women are attention whores. ALL women. They get on these sites to gain validation. When they match up with someone 'hawt', many have an inclination to escalate. Women LIKE having sex with 'hawt' guys.

You are clearly Blue Pill and cannot see the truth of the female nature. All. Women. Are. Like. That.

When I was mid bulk - I had got a little fat I sent a girl a photo of my sizeable body at that point. She went from interested to completely uninterested in under a second, simply because I didn't have abs. And this was me with developed traps, shoulders and chest. Don't just get big. Get lean.

All this stuff about girls telling you what to do to get girls is garbage. Girls are liars and they aren't about to tell you that they'd fuck you simply because you have a nice body because they have far far far higher standards than just that.

Anyone I meet who asks whether I lift I say to them that they should. It is like a drug how much more girls want to sleep with you simply because you have some muscle.

Here is an experiment that I have wanted to do. I'd like to create 2 profiles, the content(my background, interests, and what I want) would be identical. One profile would have photos of me in shape or participating in activities and ones that have me with a lot of friends to make me look cool. The second profile would have photos of me out of shape or just bad selfies. It would be interesting to see the difference between the two.

Tinder is the one thing that makes me regret deactivating Facebook almost 2 years ago. Seems like a goldmine of sluts. Still not enough incentive to return to the Beast, however.
